Location Map FAQ
At SMMC, we recognize the positive and significant psychological effects that visiting hours have on patients, families and children such as emotional support, a sense of security, the alleviation of loneliness and a reduction in stress, anxiety and depression. This is why family members and friends are welcome to visit patients who have been admitted to one of our Inpatient Wards. We have three visiting periods per day designed to meet our patients' and visitors' needs.
Medical/Surgical Ward - 11:30am - 12:30pm, 3:30pm - 4:30pm, 6:30pm - 7:30pm Obstetrics & Gynecology Ward - 11:30am - 12:30pm, 3:30pm - 4:30pm, 6:30pm - 7:30pm Pediatric Ward - 11:30am - 12:30pm, 3:30pm - 4:30pm, 6:30pm - 7:30pm Intensive Care Unit - 10:00am - 10:20am, 2:00pm - 2:20pm, 8:00pm - 8:20pm
Please note: Children between 5 and 15 years old are only allowed to visit for the visiting hours from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. Please request permission from the Ward Supervisor for visitation for children under 5 years old. Special arrangements and considerations are made for parents of newborns.
To locate a patient's room, please inquire with the assistants at the Service Desk or the Security located immediately inside the Main Entrance of SMMC. A quiet and peaceful environment should be maintained throughout the hospital and also during visiting hours. Only two visitors are allowed at a time at the patient’s bedside but visitors may rotate. In the interest of the patient, family members and friends should co-ordinate their visits to prevent the patient from becoming tired at the end of visiting hours.
We also ask that vistors experiencing any flu-like symptoms refain from visiting the hospital or wear a mask (provided at the Service Desk) in an effort to protect our staff and patients and kindly ask all visitors to use the hand sanitizer provided and perform proper hand hygiene before entering any patient room.
